The nephrology service is concerned with the clinical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of kidney diseases, with the goal of preserving kidney function and intervening early in case of alterations.
The nephrologist is the referral specialist for patients with hypertension, renal failure, proteinuria, stones, and urinary alterations, even when not yet symptomatic.
