Tesla Care

Tesla Care is a state-of-the-art machine based on deep muscle stimulation through high-intensity magnetic fields. Due to its non-invasive and painless action, it promotes functional recovery in rehabilitation treatments, improving strength, muscle tone and neuromotor coordination. Ideal for orthopedic and neurological conditions and for post-surgery or post-trauma muscle strengthening, Tesla Care is an effective, safe and rapid solution for the well-being of our patients.

Tecar therapy

It is a noninvasive therapeutic method that allows treating biological tissue in an innovative way by increasing the activation of natural reparative and anti-inflammatory processes by stimulating the tissue from within inducing a reduction in recovery time. Capacitive and Resistive Energy Transfer can be used immediately after an injury or during the acute phase of an inflammatory process ensuring good results quickly.

Depending on the problem to be treated, the action can be directed on the muscle fascias, lymphatic or circulatory system or deeper on joints, tendons, ligaments, bone tissue, cartilage. Tecar through the use of endogenous energy can reach the deep layers evenly and without contraindications. It is to be avoided on patients with pacemakers, pregnant women, and those suffering from epileptic seizures.

Laser therapy

Laser therapy owes its etymology to the English language: “Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation.” It is based on a light source that propagates with electromagnetic waves and has quite special characteristics such as monochromaticity, coherence, directionality and brilliance. Its main therapeutic effects are: anti-inflammatory, analgesic, regenerative of connective tissue, and biostimulating on microcirculation and blood vessels.

Neuromuscular Taping

Neuromuscular Taping is a technique based on the body’s natural healing processes. Muscles are not only related to body movements, but also to the control of venous and lymphatic fluid circulation, body temperature, etc. Therefore, the improper functioning of muscles induces different types of symptoms. The Neuromuscular Taping technique is based on a therapeutic concept that, by adopting the principles of Kinesiological science, facilitates free movements in order to allow the muscular system to help the body heal itself biomechanically.

Neuromuscular Taping can be used in various situations as a postoperative aid, in rehabilitation and sports medicine, to improve lymphatic drainage, throughout sports (before during and after). It is used as an adjunct in acupuncture, osteopathy, chiropractic, manual therapy.

Game Ready®

Game Ready® is an effective aid in post-operative and acute injury treatment where cold and compression are indicated. For a proven approach to the treatment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries and post-operative recovery, many orthopedic physicians, coaches, physical therapists and prominent athletes rely on RICE – Rest, Ice, Compression and Elevation.

The Game Ready® system simultaneously provides adjustable cold therapy and intermittent compression, making it easier to apply and manage these two difficult aspects of the RICE regimen. What makes Game Ready® unique is a unique combination of active and adjustable pneumatic compression, cold therapy applied with comfortable and anatomically shaped heat wraps, all in a single control microprocessor technology.

Cold therapy reduces pain and muscle spasms, tissue damage, and swelling, while compression has been shown to eliminate effusion at the site of injury by reducing edema, preventing damage to affected tissues thus promoting healing.

Shock waves

In ballistic shockwave systems, the shockwave is generated by means of a special gun-shaped handpiece whose barrel is closed at the end by a metal cap against which a steel projectile is launched by compressed air at 4-5 bar pressure.
A shockwave is generated from the collision and spreads through the metal cap, expanding radially into the skin and the underlying first layer of tissue.

Reformer

The Reformer consists of springs and straps, which can help the patient while performing various exercises. In addition, one can make use of additional and supportive tools that modify and vary the training possibilities.

The Reformer is so named because it was created to “reform,” then transform the body, through variable training that allows the use of all muscles.

It is a piece of equipment used in combination with Pilates and with exercises performed free-body.

Criosauna

The cryosauna (or cryocabin) is an actual cabin you enter individually that allows you to rapidly lower your body temperature, going to act on cellular metabolism in a completely harmless manner. Thanks to the use of vaporized liquid nitrogen (totally harmless to the skin) inside, temperatures between -150° and -180° are produced, bringing the body surface to -1° temperature in 30 to 40 seconds.

Inside the cryosauna, a movable lifting floor ensures that the person undergoing the treatment is optimally positioned with respect to the head’s outflow from the top. A single treatment lasts a maximum of three minutes; the frequency of treatments and the number of treatments varies depending on the desired purpose and achievement of the chosen goals, according to application protocols customized for each discipline.

Analgesic currents, electrostimulation

Analgesic currents use the biological effects obtained from electrical energy for therapeutic purposes and consists of analgesic micropulses that are delivered to the painful body area.

The analgesia thus obtained, without the use of drugs, has the merit of interrupting chronic muscle pain, allowing progressive relaxation with subsequent disposal of catabolites. Electrotherapy is particularly indicated for muscular, painful and nervous affections ( neuritis ) and radiculitis ( sciatalgia, cruralgia ) and not recommended for patients with pace-makers, in pregnancy.

Ultrasound

Ultrasounds are high-frequency acoustic vibrations that cannot be perceived by the human ear.In the therapeutic field, ultrasounds are obtained artificially by exploiting the property of certain mineral crystals subjected to the action of an electric field of alternating current to dilate and compress, thereby emitting vibrations. Ultrasonic irradiation thus generates a micromassage of considerable intensity by acting deep in the tissues.

Heat is generated from this vibration, impact and friction of cellular and intracellular structures. In fact, in addition to a mechanical effect, ultrasound also exerts a consequent thermal effect. In addition, ultrasound can also be used in immersion; the head is immersed in water along with the area to be treated. The therapeutic effects of ultrasound therapy are antalgic effect, relaxation of contracted muscles, fibrotic action and trophic effect.

Diamagnetotherapy

Diamagnetotherapy represents the major instrumental development in the medical field today. It is a noninvasive rehabilitative therapeutic technique that bases its operating principles on the use of high-intensity hyperpulsed magnetic fields. The physical structure of diamagnetic materials, such as body fluids, and many pharmacological molecules, when subjected to the activity of a particularly intense magnetic field, generates a magnetic repulsion force, that is, a movement of the molecular components in the opposite direction to the magnetic field. This activity results in very special biological effects that result in noninvasive and painless applications for the treatment of the most important diseases known in medicine.

With diamagnetotherapy, therapeutic and rehabilitative treatments are performed that adapt to evolving pathology by always responding in the most efficient and rapid manner.

Massage therapy

Massage therapy is an important physiotherapeutic practice in which muscles are subjected to a series of manipulations for the purpose of healing, by direct or reflex action, localized or generalized painful processes. Massage thins and softens the skin, activates lymphatic and blood circulation, increases local temperature, acts in a sedative sense on sensory nerve branches, and increases muscle tone.

Practiced on joints, it promotes the reabsorption of effusions and hematomas. It is recommended in muscular disorders, joint diseases, and affections of the central and peripheral nervous system. Ozonized oil massages for skin stimulation and camphorated massages for sportsmen are also practiced at the Polyclinic.

Infrared (physiotherapy lamp)

Infrared is a form of thermotherapy, which is a therapy that uses heat to more or less deeply warm certain regions of the body.

Thermal action is of considerable benefit in relaxing muscles and is used to prepare the patient for massage or kinesiotherapy.
