Oxygen-Ozone therapy,
Interventional with classical technique

It represents the historical technique, “the mother” of all ozone treatments of the spine. Without a doubt, it is the most widely used method. Relative simplicity, great therapeutic efficacy, few side effects (with proper technique!), few contraindications. The patient should be placed on a couch with the back facing upward. Having identified the space site of the hernia or protrusion, an oxygen-ozone mixture is administered at the muscles located lateral to the spine. It is administered through very thin needles and is normally not particularly painful.

It finds indication in many pathologies of the spine:

• herniated disc
• disc protrusion
• arthrosis
• spinal canal stenosis

The apparent simplicity of the technique, however, must not disregard:

• thorough disinfection
• disposable material
• Use of 20-mL syringes; 50-60-mL syringes should not be used because of the high risk of administering inappropriate and potentially dangerous amounts to the patient
• Stay for a few minutes on the crib and inside the clinic

The resolution rate of the painful picture reaches 75-80% positive results.
