Oxygen-Ozone therapy

Natural, non-invasive treatment for joint pain, inflammation, and chronic conditions.

Ozone therapy is a medical practice in use in many nations, especially those with large industrial development. Ozone therapy is used for many diseases and especially where conventional therapies do not give the desired results.

Therapeutic uses of ozone

The use of ozone in medicine is dictated by two general considerations, one based on the fact that ozone has direct and indirect effects on metabolism and the other on the fact that it has biological effects.

Effects of ozone on metabolisms

Acceleration of glucose utilization by cells due to increased glycosis that increases ATP availability in cells and thus in tissues, especially the nervous tissue; intervention in protein metabolism due to its affinity for sulfhydryl groups, thus reacting with essential amino acids such as methionine and tryptophan or with cysteine that contains sulfur; direct reaction with unsaturated fatty acids that are transformed into water-soluble compounds.

Biological effects of ozone

In topical application there is disinfection and direct trophic action. by the formation of peroxides there is a systematic antibacterial and antiviral effect. The antiseptic mechanism is similar to that which the body routinely uses with the formation, by leukocytes involved in bacterial phagocytosis, of a molecule with antioxidant properties, similar to that of O3, i.e., H2O2.

The germicidal effect of ozone depends mainly on the presence of water and low temperatures. It also has a great ability to inactivate viruses (virustatic action) by making them unable to adhere with cell receptors on the target cell and thus unable to replicate. If ozone has a virustatic action for viruses, with respect to bacteria and especially gram + it has a bactericidal and especially direct action.

At the level of red blood cells, there is an increase in their deformability by reducing overall blood viscosity and an increase in 2,3-diphosphoglycerate (responsible for the release of O2 by hemoglobin to tissues), which has, as its ultimate goal, a marked improvement in O2 transport and thus rheological action.

Ozonized water

Ozonated water has an oxidizing effect thus being able to remove many invaders, including streptococcus that cause pain. To treat those with gastritis or ulcers (it is a helicobacter killer). Colitis, chronic diseases of the large intestine, duodenitis. Bladder rinses in chronic cystitis. Vaginal washes for infections. Ozonated water can be used to treat wounds and fungus.

It can be made therapy for mouth, teeth, stomatitis, periodontitis, etc.

Ozonized bath

Ozonized Bath finds numerous indications for dermatological, metabolic and vascular diseases. It has also made a significant contribution to Aesthetic Medicine. Ozonized air is bubbled in special steam bath. The nascent oxygen pentrates through the skin to the deepest tissue layers; from there, a portion is conducted into the blood and lymphatic circulation.

In addition, Ozone bubbles continuously reach the body surface, immersed, resulting in stimulating effects especially of a vasoactive nature.

There is, in fact, dilation of capillaries and squeezing of venous vessels with increased peripheral circulatory velocity and resulting in improved cell trophism.

Ozone therapy in diseases

Among the many pathologies that can benefit from the use of ozone medicine are:

  • Oxygen-deficient pathologies, such as in arterial (e.g., arteriosclerosis) or venous (e.g., phlebostatic ulcers) circulation problems, decubitus ulcers where, the trophic and re-epithelializing action of major autohemotherapy is combined with the use of pouches that have topical disinfectant effect. (Diabetic maculopathy, Ischemic maculopathy, Senile degenerative retinal maculopathy)
  • Chronic diseases. Major autohemotherapy finds indication in patients who are defecated because they have chronic diseases (obstructive pulmonary disease, diabetes, etc.) or because they are of advanced age.
  • Postoperative course. The use of major autohemotherapy reduced convalescent days after highly demolitive surgery by 40%. To avoid age-related degenerative phenomena: central and peripheral nervous system circulation disorders; peripheral circulation disorders.
  • Skin lesions: pressure sores and diabetic gangrene, Ulcus cruris, fungus and parasitosis
  • Treatment of cellulite
  • Autoimmune-based diseases: Systemic lupus erythematosus, erythema nodosum, autoimmune-based viral diseases (hepatitis A, B, C), immune deficiencies on unknown basis, Herpes zooster and simplex
  • Bowel diseases: proctitis, colitis, ulcerative rectocolitis, anal fistula
  • Gastric diseases: Elicobacter pylori gastritis, esophagitis
  • Diseases of the skeletal system. In first place are herniated and protruding discs, which can be dehydrated and then reentered with intramuscular paravertebral punctures thus eliminating the cause of pain. Hernias can be at the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar levels and can be single or multiple. The subject already has the disappearance of pain after very few sessions and can resume normal work activity. Coxo-arthrosis and gonarthrosis can be treated, when degeneration is not impressive, with intra-articular oxygen-ozone injections.
