During her career path, her training was largely focused on breast reconstructive surgery. In 2008, after her licensure, Dr. Calabrese completed her residency in the School of Plastic Surgery Clinic in Udine, Italy, with the lead office in Padua, Italy.
Activities during specialist training have included breast oncoplastic surgery to microsurgery, vulnology, regenerative surgery, facial and small tumor surgery of the face and body, and hand surgery.
Over the course of the specialty, he participated in more than 1,600 surgeries.
She has collaborated on various research in the field of reconstructive scalp surgery, on the use of INTEGRA, and in recent years has devoted herself to the study of human adipose tissue, stem cells derived from it. The latter area, she became familiar with different techniques and machines for performing lipofilling at the breast level and in the treatment of chronic ulcers. These techniques have also been used for the treatment of Dupuytren’s disease associated with surgical release.
Currently at UOC of Ch Plastica of Spedali Civili di Brescia, in addition to the activities already mentioned in the C.V., he collaborates with Dr. Faini in the field of reconstructive microsurgery applied to breast reconstruction, reconstruction of trauma or infection outcomes, and post-surgical lymphedema.
