Dr. Paola Nasta graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Brescia in 1994 and went on to earn first a Postgraduate degree in Infectious Diseases and then a Doctorate in Clinical Trial Methodology. She was Fellowship Holder for AIDS Research: “Informed Consent in Clinical Trials Targeting People with HIV: comprehensibility, quality of information, protection of rights, affective impact research for a flexible model to ensure free and informed choice” at the Istituto Superiore di Sanità and was Head of the Research Center at LILA ONLUS – ONLUS LILA. She has conducted numerous clinical trials in GCP, authored numerous spontaneous phase IV clinical research protocols in GCP for the evaluation of therapeutic strategies in relation to antiretroviral therapy in HIV infection and HIV/HCV co-infection.
She is specialized in Acupuncture and related techniques for the management of chronic painful conditions including post-infectious diseases. She has She has been a lecturer at the Advanced Course in Acupuncture and Complementary Techniques at the University of Brsecia She is currently a managing physician at the UO Di Infectious Diseases of the ASST Spedali Civilie of Brescia
She has dedicated herself to the care of patients with COVID 19 at the COVID units of the ASST Spedali Civili of Brescia acquiring direct knowledge also on the management of the new pathology both in the acute phase and in the management of sequelae . In freelance practice she offers consultations inherent to all acute and chronic infectious diseases including sequelae of COVID 19.
Applies complementary therapies for acute and chronic problems related to infectious diseases- As part of the ASST Spedali Civili di Brescia’s RiapriAMO project , to accompany them workers to safely return to the workplace, she offers specialized evaluation with specific certifications for COVID 19.
