Graduating from Milan State University in November 1981 with a degree in medicine and surgery, Dr. Nava has been in the division of pulmonology at Spedali Civili in Brescia since her fifth year of medical school. Specializing in pulmonology at the University of Milan in 1984, she did postgraduate hospital practical internship in pulmonology at Spedali Civili in Brescia, Italy.

- Since May 1987 assistant physician at presidio pneumo tisiologico at Spedali Civili becoming assistant physician always at the same facility since 1990.
- From 2002 to present Pulmonary Physician at the Division of Pulmonology of Civil Hospitals, mainly dealing with pulmonary neoplasia.
