Graduating in 1997 from the University of Brescia with a degree in Medicine and Surgery, Dr. Sara Pontoglio specializes at the graduate school in Biochemistry and Clinical Chemistry with a diagnostic focus also in Brescia.
To date, he is in charge of serology and hematology laboratory, donor selection and clinical control, transfusion medicine outpatient clinic (thalassotherapy, blood component transfusion, infusion therapies), hematology outpatient clinic, TAO outpatient clinic, immunohematology laboratory.
At Poliambulatorio Oberdan, Dr. Pontoglio focuses on hematology, specifically hemostasis, a branch of the laboratory focused on the study of blood coagulation. Particular interest is in the problems of thrombosis and hemorrhage, diagnosis of diseases thrombotic and hemorrhagic and of related therapies and follow-up.
