Graduating in 1991 in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan with 110 cum laude, the Professor specialized with highest honors at the School of Specialization in Thoracic Surgery. He then earned a Ph.D. in Cardiothoracic Surgical Pathophysiology in 2005 and went on to further specialize in Cardiac Surgery, also successfully completed.
Reviewer for numerous scientific journals, adjunct professor at graduate schools, the Professor has been a speaker at countless National and International congresses and has authored as many scientific publications.
